I’d rather it be kept the same speed - speeding up feels like a cheat and a lazy way t avoid design issues.
I think the general sentiment on the forum is that boarding seems much slower in the game than it is in real life, and thus it’s one way to make it feel more like a real boarding process while also helping the slow turnaround problem.

Around 8:20, on the operation panel,
it does show that the “Jeta refuelling service” is green which mean enabled but the text says that it is disabled
