Perhaps I am missing something, but is there a trick to getting runways to successfully cross each other, or could this be added to the game in the future?

You can build them perpendicular to each other, and then extend one of them using the Upgrades button. It’s pretty much an exploit though, and might cause glitches.
I think this would be a very good idea because in the space we have I think we need to have less room used and lots of airports have it almost all of them in real life
Think some admin should reframe this topic in the IDEA’s section of forums.
