Serious Lag Even Airport Is Closed [solved]

I have experienced serious lag in my save (very high CPU usage) even though I have done everything I can…

  • Closed down all stands and airports, including GA
  • Closed down all turnaround services (e.g. baggage handling)
  • Dismissed all employees and contractors,
  • Sold all vehicles
  • Restart the game
  • Have never used any mod

I have raised a bug report (ACEO-44562) in-game, not sure if it’s a bug or corrupted save.

Spec: i7-4790, 16GB ram, GTX 970

I know where the problem is now… I did not mark the intersection between jetway and terminal (circled in green below) into an appropriate zone (in my case, I should have marked it as an international zone). Really hard to spot this mistake though… hope there could be a fix to make it more apparent

Yes, that spot often gets missing. But after a reload this area gets zoned automatically.

Sadly the area was not zoned automatically when I tried to reload my save
