I regularly have a situation where a service car is waiting for ages at a a service car stop. When another service car arrives waiting to use the same stop it blocks the road causing traffic jams.
Why do the service cars wait at the stop rather than going to the depot?
What can I do do stop it happening?

Do you have staff rooms for ramp agents far away from the service car stops? Most likely the car is waiting for the assigned ramp agent to arrive. Sadly distance isn’t considered for job/task assignments yet. As a work arround design your airport in a way where you only need one staff room for ramp agents which is close to the service car stops.
I thought that might affect it so I have tried it with the ramp agent staff room (the only one they use) door opening straight onto the 2 stops that I currently have. It didn’t solve the problem though.

Maybe a shortage on ramp agents? You may check in the job tasks screen or try to reduce staff at the baggage bays / reduce flights temporary to test.
