When it comes to flight scheduling, I like to have specific airlines park as specific gates - kind of keeps it real.
With different sizes of planes, it adds another dynamic - what if certain stands were only for certain kinds of planes - certain medium stands are only for 757s - where I add a bit more taxi space, and other medium stands for smaller RJ’s or props with a bit less of a taxi space.
When you have more than 20 stands, and various contracts, it gets messy as it feels i am more planning flights than actually expanding and improving my airport…
So I lean to the auto scheduler now and then - but that just messes up my system!
It would be great to have either both or one of these feature’s added:
- An option on the stand to select the type of aircraft that would be accepted
- An option to have a only certain airlines use certain stands. (I think this has been raised before)
Would make things real nice!
