Yes, but signs look more realistic imo
People won’t go and spend time on editing stuff that they cannot see while playing the game. I personally wouldn’t.

Which is why my taxiway upgrades should be a thing. Imagine, drag and draw design of them would allow to name segments etc. Just a thought?
I would, but then again I’m a tad bit of an anal artist when it comes to games.
Its implemented for me! 
With the development thanks to @Alexander @Hap0vecXD and @humoresque we can surely call that this idea has been implemented to the game. 
Kudos to the both of them.
