I’m currently handling about 90 aircraft per day at my airport and experiencing 3-5 go arounds per day (Approach lights and everything installed). Compared to reality that is waaay too much. It would be a lot less annyoing if other aircraft were allowed to take off or land while the aircraft that went around positions itself for another approach. If a go around is performed in real life ATC would never stop all other traffic until the aircraft that went around comes back and lands unless it is an emergency.
