Airbus A321

Has anyone suggested this as a new a/c type? Sorry if it has been brought up. Would love to see it, especially since we know we can fit a 757 onto the stands.

@Rubble?

@Olof Not that I’m aware. I was assuming it would come in an upcoming future vote round?

Or @Fredrik is it a stretch of the A319/A320?

Or are we talking NEO? I’m not up on Airbus as a rule.

When Airbus initially designed the A321, they elongated an A320’s fuselage, making appropriate adjustments for safety (i.e. more emergency exits).

I find the A321 an incredibly sexy, single aisle aircraft.

Yes, it will be a stretched version of existing fuselage. Not a lot of work from my side but I’m quite occupied with multiple-floors right now. :slight_smile:

Please mind that 321 has 4 regular size doors rather than 2 doors + 2 overwing exits like A320. So it is a bit (small bit) more than stretching. :slight_smile:
