Resort Check in

Resort Check in would be a really cool thing to see in the game in the future, similar in functionality to the system run by Jet2Holidays where passengers on one of their package holidays near a focus airport for them (such as Mallorca) can check their bags in at a stand in their hotel and have the bags delivered by truck, by the airline to the plane without the passenger having to pull their suitcase around with them.

It could be fun to sign a contract with airlines that have a hub at your airport or have made it a focus airport to allow them to offer this service to their passengers and for you to see a truck full of bags arrive at your airport and all have to be processed by staff testing your baggage system and the efficiency of your staff.

I realise that this could be a lot of work for a fairly small detail and it definitely is not something for the alpha (or probably even the beta for that matter). Just want to know what other people think.

This sounds like something that could be implemented when a cargo system is worked upon as it shares some of the similarities, stuff being delivered for a certain flight. It only has to appear that it goes with a passenger to the player, doesn’t have to be tied to them specifically by code. Maybe when passengers get seats there can be a system where passenger in seat 3a doesn’t have luggage and therefore by chance there may be a peice of luggage delivered by a truck that pretends it’s for the guy in 3a.
