Upgrade Runway Ramps (Like Runways, Taxiways, and Stands)
Description:
Currently the only option to “upgrade” runway ramps is to replace them causing many headaches trying to manage “temporary” ramps so as not to break current scheduled flights. This feature should be able to be upgraded the same consistent way that runways, taxiways and stands are upgraded via right-click options (e.g. convert to asphalt or convert to concrete).
You can upgrade runways and stands via right click customize options while taxiways you can upgrade by placing another surface over the existing one.
Problem requesting a feature fix is to enable a right click customize option to upgrade runway ramps.
Why it should be implemented:
Without the ability to upgrade runway ramps via simple menu options the player must place “temporary” ramps so that current scheduled flights are not impacted as the only option to “upgrade” is to delete and replace the ramps.
You can already upgrade runways clicking them and Gates too! (Not tarmac) you only have to do left click on It. If you can’t, you have to research concrete upgrade in the ryd panel.
You can upgrade the ramp (taxiway) by drawing with other taxiway’s material over it. You can’t upgrade the runway exits - you need to build another temporary one, remove the exit you want to upgrade, then place a new one in the same location that is using another material, and finally remove the temporary one.
You’re absolutely right. Ramps even have their own menu box, so it shouldn’t be that hard to implement this feature.
Stay healthy and Merry Christmas fellow CEOs.
